CLASSIC GAME.

Responsibilities

PROGRAMMER

AI​

  • Played the game and analyzed enemy behavior to accurately recreate their actions.

  • Programmed the AI for various enemies including Zombies, Bats, Leopards, Fishmen and the Bat Boss.

  • Integrated all of the enemy animations.

GAMEPLAY​

​

  • Programmed the behavior for the various pickups including Axe, Boomerang, Dagger, Cross, Holy Water, Hearts, and Gold.

  • Programmed and implemented the UI to work with player health, score and other systems.

  • Implemented the level music and the sound effects.

KEY TAKEAWAYS​

  • Learnt about using sine waves, enemy behavior states and Bezier curves to program AI.

  • Introduced to burndown charts and project management tools. Which are necessary to ensure timely project completion when working with a teammate.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS​

  • Featured at the end of year MSU game dev showcase; where it was praised for being the best castlevania remake made in the history of the class!
